As part of our corporate social responsibility efforts, OrangeTee has started a new Property Literacy for Youth initiative. This comprises a free webinar conducted for tertiary students in Singapore.
Liken to financial and wealth planning, Singaporeans should start planning early for their property purchases. Homeownership is very high (above 80%) in Singapore, which means most Singaporeans would eventually own a home. As property purchases are probably the most significant financial investment in one’s life, starting early and starting right is crucial.
Our webinar provides an overview of the types of properties in Singapore, considerations in purchasing one’s home, and how to choose the type of properties that suit their needs. We also share tips on buying their first HDB flat, the latest property market trends and how to budget for their first property purchase.
The National University of Singapore (NUS) was one of the schools we collaborated with. In January this year, we jointly conducted a webinar with the Bizad Club, BREN and BizConnect. Many students participated in the event, and they shared that the session was insightful and valuable.
Moving forward, we will continue to offer this free service to other tertiary students. If any schools would like to participate, do not hesitate to contact us for further discussions.
