- Campaign builds on OTT’s long-term relationship with Club Rainbow
Singapore’s third-largest real estate company with about 4,300 agents, OrangeTee & Tie Pte Ltd (“OTT”), has raised $100,000 for Club Rainbow, a charity that supports and empowers children with chronic illnesses, and their families. The three-week “Be the Rainbow” fundraising campaign was launched on the Giving.sg platform and concluded on 21st May. The initiative was strongly supported by OT Group, which gave a push to the campaign by pledging a dollar-for-dollar match for every donation by its agents and corporate employees.
The cheque for Club Rainbow was presented by OTT’s CEO Steven Tan on the opening day of OTT’s Business Conference. Mr Tan said, “Club Rainbow’s vision of inspiring hope in the lives of children with chronic illnesses and helping them to lead an enriching life is something that resonates with OrangeTee & Tie. By rallying our agents and other employees to contribute to this cause, we hope to be able to paint a colourful rainbow in the hearts of our beneficiaries.”
OTT’s ties with Club Rainbow trace back to 2012, when it engaged the charity’s beneficiaries through excursions, as well as donating proceeds from the sale of OrangeTee collar pins to its agents.
Apart from its engagement with Club Rainbow, OTT also lends its support to the “Love Senior Citizens” movement by regularly organising events for the elderly during festive occasions such as the New Year and Christmas. When the COVID-19 pandemic broke out in 2020, the Group stepped up its outreach efforts by packing and distributing over 1,000 welfare care packs containing essentials such as rice and hand sanitisers, to senior citizens to boost their morale during a difficult period. The Company is also a partner of the Singapore Red Cross Society, and regularly holds blood donation drives at its premises.
Said Mr Tan, “OrangeTee & Tie believes that social impact is a key driver for positive change. The culture of giving is closely interwoven with our business strategy, which builds upon the Triple Bottom Line sustainability framework that focuses on people, profit, and planet. To this end, our pursuit of long-term business sustainability will continue to shape the way we interact with our stakeholders.”
